The Six Most Famous Brunch Spots In the U.S. That You Must Try in 2022

2022 is well underway, and with restrictions ending in many cities and COVID cases down, now is the time to get outside and to go explore new things. One perfect exploration could be of local parks or pathways. Perhaps there’s a new escape room, arcade, or movie theater nearby?

Regardless of what new adventures you plan on having this year, one common adventure is to try a new restaurant. And one of the best meals for this, whether alone or with friends, is to get brunch.

Brunch offers the best of both worlds – offering omelets, hash browns, waffles, and other foods reserved solely for breakfast – while also letting lunch influence it. (That’s not to mention a delicious mimosa to wash it down, either, if you’re feeling feisty!)

If you’re looking for a fresh place to get your nosh on, then here are some amazing brunch spots across the US that just might coincide with a pre-planned adventure… or even be the cause for a brand-new one!

Blue Bell Inn – Blue Bell, PA

The Blue Bell Inn, also known as the William Penn Inn, has been around longer than the United States. Founded in 1714, this establishment has been both an inn and eatery for decades. Although known for their fine dining, they are also renowned for their Sunday Brunch.

Their brunch menu features a seasonal selection of dishes, along with an extensive raw bar, never-ending mimosas or Bloody Marys, and any conceivable way to eat bacon, eggs, and pancakes. If this classic inn with high-quality brunching options piques your interest, be sure to book your reservation to visit it soon!

  • Location: 601 W Skippack Pike, Blue Bell, PA 19422
  • Hours: Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

First Watch – Multiple Locations

If you’re looking for a location dedicated to perfecting the art of the brunch, this is by far the best at doing so. First Watch is a chain based out of Florida, but it has over 400 locations in more than half the states across the nation.

However, just because it is a chain doesn’t mean it sacrifices the quality. First Watch offers a collection of healthy and hearty breakfast options perfect for a quick meal after a workout or a Sunday brunch with the family. Some of their best items are the Million Dollar Bacon, any of their juices, and their hashes are to die for.

The only drawback, for some, is that there are no mimosas or other brunchy boozy beverages. However, if that small drawback can’t keep you away, make sure to head out and plan a visit!

A’Bouzy – Houston, Texas

Pronounced just like how it sounds, this brunch spot is a literal small village among the hustle and bustle of Houston, Texas. Marked as the number one brunch spot in many locals’ books, A’Bouzy has classic fare, as well as fun spins on these classics.

They have a raw bar option, hashes, omelets, and plenty of fresh fish to round out the fare. In addition, this location sports a fine collection of sparkling wine, with many being the perfect pair for that weekend brunch.

Highlights of the brunch menu for this location include any of their seafood options, including a Seafood Pot Pie, Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, and a Brioche French Toast that is to die for. If you’re in the neighborhood, A’Bouzy would love to have you for brunch!

  • Location: 2300 Westheimer Rd., Houston, TX 77098
  • Hours: Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

The Queen Mary – Long Beach, California

This restaurant is a true feast to the eyes and the stomach. The Queen Mary is a docked cruise flagship from the 1930s, embodying the Art Deco style that many might be familiar with, but may not know the name of.

The ship now functions as a restaurant and a hotel of sorts. However, don’t let the location alone wow you. The food itself is amazing, with a host of local seafood, sashimi, prime rib, beef brisket, and other appetizing offerings.

The Queen Mary itself could provide a whole day of enjoyment or more, with packages including trips to nearby islands, tours of the bridge, and much more. If the price and the views both look good, then feel free to head on down to The Queen Mary.

Granite City Brewery – Fargo, North Dakota (and other locations)

This brunch selection goes out to those who like a nice cocktail with their breakfast to help get them into the mood for the weekend. Typical cocktails on the menu include mimosas and Bloody Marys, but Granite City Brewery takes it to a whole ‘nother level!

They claim to have over 300 combinations and types of Bloody Marys on tap when you take into account the vodka, chaser, heat level, and garnish. Those who aren’t Bloody Mary fans can look forward to mimosas or any other of the delicious juices that come with breakfast.

When it comes to food, they haven’t left anything out either. They have all the classics, such as omelets, bacon, pancakes, and more, as well as a carving station with prime rib and a rotating selection of chef specials.

If this brunch buffet captures your attention and you’re nearby, it is a must-have experience. However, you’ll want to be sure to make a reservation, as this restaurant can be pretty popular on Sundays!

Ocean House – Watch Hill, Rhode Island

This beautiful little spot is off the beaten path but well worth it. Of course, being the Northeast, the focus at the Ocean House is on the raw bar, with plenty of fresh shrimp, oysters, and clams. In addition to the seafood offerings, though, are all the breakfast classics – including, of course, delicious desserts.

What makes this brunching location especially great, however, are the unbeatable views. The Ocean House sits on the perfect spot to view the waves as they crash into the nearby surf.

If that isn’t picturesque enough for you, then hopefully the addition of smooth jazz played live in the nearby lobby is enough to get even the toughest-to-please crowd ready for a brunch. If this location is on your list, it’s well worth the trip!
